Historic Restoration

To preserve the church’s historical significance, members of Immanuel began extensive restoration efforts in 2021, the first in some 50 years.  Among the projects included were roof work, window and shutter restoration, stucco/masonry repair, interior plaster work and painting, HVAC updates, electrical updates, and other restoration work.  Additional work to be completed includes the addition of hand crafted interior lighting over the Nave, replacement of carpet runners in the aisles and chancel area, and an upgrade to exterior lighting.  

The project has been guided since inception by renowned Architect John Tackett and Contractor Nevin Losch, along with consultation from the TN Commission of Historic Preservation. 

The receipt of gifts to complete this extension restoration and to replace the partial use of Immanuel’s reserve funds will be greatly appreciated. All donors to the Restoration Fund will be honoured on an engraved donor plaque that will be placed in the church upon completion of this project.  Please mail to:
